Save Money, and put some extra cash in your pocket!!! Now, how can we do this, seeing that the petrol, diesel and so forth has gone up so much???

We are not all earning a descent salary to keep up with the current inflation and therefore we are all out of pocket. We all would like to make an extra buck or two, but where do we start? Want to safe fuel, then you need to drive smart, by driving smart you will save money!

  • First of all plan your route carefully, avoid driving back and forth, this wastes petrol/diesel.
  • Avoid driving short distances, stop and start driving consumes a lot more.
  • Sitting in traffic can take a lot, so what can you do here? Try leaving an half an hour earlier for work and leave a half an hour later, work something out, try to miss peak traffic.
  • When pulling off accelerate slowly.
  • Drive with your windows closed, this causes a drag which increases fuel consumption, experts say this could be up to 20% that can be saved.
  • Make sure your car is in a good condition, keep up with the services and use multigrade oil this reduces drag.
  • Don’t speed, the heavy foot pays more for petrol.
  • Try to join a lift club, I am sure there are some of your colleagues that stay close enough to do this.
  • Make sure your tyres are at the correct pressure, not only will under inflated tyres increase fuel consumption, but also reduces the life of your tyres.

So go on and give this a try, if we all do this we all can save money. Even if it means a couple of hundreds.
